Meeting Notes

• We have decided to give the floor that we were going to adopt as a group to another group who has applied (Up ‘til dawn).
• We now have a waiting list for Adopt-a-Floor, which is great news! Two groups are on the waiting list at this time.
• I have contacted Lisa McGuire about our group possibly helping with her group (On-The-Go, a commuter and adult student group) with an event. I will send out a notice and a call for volunteers if she says yes!
• I am going to update our blog with pictures of completed bulletin boards that groups are doing soon...be on the lookout! For our blog address, see the end of these notes.
• If anyone is interested in possibly designing a logo for our group, please let me know and we can try it.
• Some groups have expressed interest in reserving space in the library display cases. These cases are available to all student groups. The link to the page where you can check out availability and reserve space is: http://library.uncg.edu/services/displays.aspx
• We are in need of a treasurer...please let me know if you are interested!
• We are thinking about holding a faculty book discussion event, where a UNCG faculty member would come in and discuss their book and take questions from an audience.

The Student Libraries’ Advisory Council (SLAC) serves as a communication channel between the University Libraries and the undergraduate and graduate student body. It provides a forum for students to express their needs regarding Libraries’ services and resources. It also serves as a sounding board for proposed changes in Libraries’ policies, procedures and services that affect students.
